Wow, I have no idea how I got such an amazing price on these. Must have been my lucky day! They arrived quickly and were packaged well. They looked fabulous with my Halloween costume and I got a lot of compliments on them. They're DEFINITELY not an everyday boot though. Keep that in mind.

The only reason it gets 4 instead of 5 stars is that after walking a while, I had a lot of pain in my ankles and a blister or two. Because of their material and style, they don't bend well at the ankle and the heel (not the height, but the part that the back of your foot rests against) is very rigid. Make sure you wear some thick cotton socks with these at least! By the end of the weekend, I had to wrap my ankles to wear these. Totally worth it though. They're superhot!

I went to Las Vegas 2 years ago- and was almost crippled by all of the walking on the strip- decided to go shopping and told my husband "I DON'T CARE if I have to spend a thousand dollars, I need a pair of comfortable shoes" I had on skeechers- went into a Clark's outlet and bought my first pair- and a pair for my husband. Came home and through out 38 pairs of shoes, and will not buy anything but Clarks....within a half an hour, I was running- not walking through the mall. What a God send- they do run a little larger- so buy a 1/2 size smaller than what you usually get.

These boots are very stylish, and for a nice price. Another reviewer commented on how these boots look "cheap" close-up, which I will agree that you can tell they are not of the highest-quality (which of course, is to be expected at this price). However, these nearly-knee-high boots are a lot for what you paid for, in my opinion.

The material is some sort of textured pleather. Easy to put on, zip up inseam side. These boots hurt me in the ankle area for maybe the first 2 or 3 times I wore, but I was surprised that they broke in so quickly and easily. I could wear them everyday now! Like someone else mentioned, the chocolate brown is *very* dark, almost black, but cleary not black.

I would have loved to give these boots 5 stars all around, but when it comes to shoes, fit and comfort are most important to me, second to style. My biggest issue was how the seam near the heel/ankle area jutted into the inside of the shoe. I find myself stepping on it as I walk, and you almost have to drag your feet to prevent that little fold from going under your foot. Thick socks nor lacing the boot tighter fixes this. I honestly do not believe it's a manufacturer's defect, as this "fold" is visible on some of the photos I've seen online of this boot. Perhaps there is an insert I can purchase as a fix...

Aside from fit issues, I am completely in love with the look of these boots. I bought the black ones and they are a rich black color, not washed out and grayish like the product photos. I've gotten many compliments in the very short time that I've owned them and am hoping that over time, the boot will better mold to my foot. Size-wise, this shoe runs true to size. I wear a 6.5 to 7, and 7's were the perfect length. The foot bed is super soft, and the rubber soled bottoms have perfect traction. Just an FYI: the boots do not have a heel as shown in the small thumbnails- the soles are black rubber, like the tan boots.
